Paola Minekov

“I view my art as a visual diary of my life. To paint is my way of analysing and understanding the world. My themes are always derived from everyday experiences and impressions. In my paintings I explore topics like movement, energy, contrast and the mystery of emotions. I am interested in how they interconnect into body language as the true expression of the individual.“

Bulgarian artist Paola Minekov moved to London in 2008 where her work has flourished in its vibrant, creative atmosphere. She has painted several major series, including the vibrant Dancers and Circus series, and dynamic Cityscapes. Her Undercurrents series explores the psychology of human relationships.

Paola has also relished the opportunity to take part in major public art exhibitions including the Faberge Big Egg Hunt and the Elephant parade. In 2014 Paola completed the Centenary Mural – a large scale mosaic in the Institute of Education, London.
